cold frames and lots of rain

well, the weather network seems to keep extending the rain forecast. At least today wasn’t too rainy – we’ve had really thick mist though. Parts of the field are like a swamp right now from all the rain. I keep telling myself it’s good to learn during a more challenging season.

On the upside, it kinda looks like England around here. in the foreground some community garden plots, and behind, the CSA fields:

The seedlings are just about ready to jump out of their little flats and plant themselves. Once the ground dries up more we’ll be working hard to get them all planted while it lasts – all week probably. We managed to get these lettuces and summer squash out last week, and still more are waiting in the cold frames to be planted. It’s going to be really really satisfying once the summer weather sticks around and we actually see this stuff grow!
