This blog was started so friends and family could stay updated on the farm internship I did in 2011 (my first farming experience). I’m a white woman, am vegan, grew up comfortable financially, and am a member of a minority. My blog is now about what I’m learning on my way to having a farm operation of my own, and the way I approach it is influenced by my background and identity. Some other things I talk about are social and environmental justice issues, being vegan, feminism, natural building, and the weather. I believe all these things are intertwined, and write about them as they relate to food and farming. I also take lots of pictures. Enjoy!

  4. Just started reading your blog to get more information about the Slocan valley which you talk about in very positive terms-my son is there at the moment and your insights have given me a fuller picture of the area.
